Dancing in York, East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire
This Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society was founded in November 1975 by members of local classes and clubs in York and North and East Yorkshire.
Our membership year runs from 1st March, and the annual fee for 2009 - 2010 is £18. If you are interested in joining us, or renewing your membership, see our Membership Application form for more details.
Areas covered include York , Hull , Scarborough and Pickering
Weekly classes are held in each area.
A committee of up to 10 members is elected annually, representing different classes throughout the region.
Dances take place monthly
Our dances to live music include the Day School evening dance in October, the Annual Ball , in March, and the evening dance at our weekend school in Harrogate.
Other venues are Woodmansey , Driffield , Swanland and Pickering
Broun's Reel is our newsletter, published quarterly.
